There’s a video on X of the explosion from a security camera. Looks like a ton of big fireworks in the frunk.
Assuming this is just an accident, maybe right above a hot motor is not a great place to put a whole bunch of fireworks in a tight area.

Amazingly enough it's looking like an actual potential attack, with fireworks as part of a crappy IED. Possibly linked to what happened in NOLA, given that both vehicles were rented on the same app.
Only casualty was the driver.

I don't see how the same rental service being involved would make for a strong connection, unless it's the same renter/driver returned from the dead.

If you’re going to do something, I can see why you wouldn’t want to do it in your own car. I can also see why someone might think a “fringe“ rental service is less likely to work well with the police than Avis or Hertz.
Until further evidence, I agree it seems a lot like a coincidence.

The driver of the Tesla appears to have been in the Army as well, which again could just be a coincidence, but those coincidences are adding up.
We have two terrorist attacks that nearly overlap.
Both were carried out (at least in part) by people who served in the Army.
Both involved cars rented from the same niche service.
Both involved IED's.
So yeah, who knows, but I won't be shocked if there's a connection.

Both are American citizens. Trump, Speaker, Fox News all repeating this is due to open borders.

On the M3 the frunk doesn't get that hot from the motors, and the heat pump is there too.

In my non-Tesla EV it gets warm, but not hot. I wouldn’t put fireworks there either way.
Doesn’t matter either way. I looked at the video again, it was in the back.
